Contact UsThe Egba Association of Indiana is a non-profit cultural and community organization formed by Egba descendants residing across Indiana. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting our rich Yoruba and Egba cultural heritage, fostering unity among families, empowering youth, and contributing positively to both our local Indiana communities and our homeland in Nigeria.
Our association is based in Indiana, primarily serving families and members across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Fort Wayne, Bloomington, and surrounding areas throughout the state and neighboring Midwest communities.
Our official motto is "Unity in Culture, Strength in Community" and our guiding organizational slogan is "Preserving Our Heritage, Building Our Future."
We organize signature cultural festivals, traditional music, dance, and drumming showcases, Yoruba language sessions for children and teenagers, celebrations of historical Egba milestones (such as Lisabi Day and cultural commemorations of Olumo Rock), and traditional arts exhibitions.
Most of our public events—including the Annual Cultural Day, family summer picnics, cultural galas, and community empowerment workshops—are open to members, friends of the community, the broader Nigerian and African diaspora, and the general public.
